SHARED GLORY
The 1977 Open Championship at Turnberry, Scotland is remembered for the final two round duel between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson and has become know as the "Duel in the sun" It ended with Tow Watson winning by only one stroke and is remembered best by this image when the defeated Nicklaus put his arm around his opponents shoulder and said "I gave it my best shot and you beat me" It should be noted however that Nicklaus returned to St Andrews the very next year to win The Open again.
